ADMISSION PROCESS AND PROCEDURE:

All eligible candidates who wish to join Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) to pursue higher education at the different levels must go through the following process and procedure:

Step 1: All potential students who wish to apply will receive application forms from the Enrollment Office at a fee of Uganda Shillings 30,000/= (Thirty Thousand only) payable to CUU bank accounts. Applicants may also complete our online application form on the University Website (www.cavendish.ac.ug).

Step 2: The application form must be filled in capital letters and the following must be attached:

  • A photocopy of the O' level certificate/pass slip or the equivalent and a photocopy of the A' level certificate/pass slip or the equivalent.
  • A photocopy of the certificate or diploma for an applicant who is a certificate/diploma holder.

The applicant for a postgraduate program must in addition to (a) or (b) above, attach photocopies of his/her Bachelor's degree certificate and transcript or the equivalent.

Step 3: After the scrutiny of application form for its eligibility, the applicant will be provided with provisional Acceptance Letter/Unconditional Letter and be allowed to pay tuition & fees into the CUU bank accounts.

Step 4: All students in possession of Provisional Acceptance Letters are required to attend the Orientation program on the date stated in the Provisional Letter.

Step 5: After payment and the submission of the bank payment slips, the student will be issued with Clearance card and Permanent students I D Number.

Step 6: The student will then produce the Clearance Card to the Academic Office or Faculty to obtain the timetable and begin attending classes.

Step 7: The student will adhere to the payment schedule as per the admission letter every semester until any change is made and communicated to students by the University Management

Step 8: All applications are valid only for that particular academic year of study. If a prospective student pays his or her application fee but does not commence studies within a year of paying the application fee, that applicant must reapply afresh for any subsequent year they would like to study in the University.

ATTENTION TO ALL FOREIGN APPLICANTS:

In addition to the steps above, all foreign applicants must attach photocopies of their passports including the page of immigration stamp/Entry Visa. CUU will assist all foreign students in obtaining student visas. The application for student visas is mandatory to foreign students at a cost of 100 USD per year. Students from East African countries will incur no cost to this effect After an acceptance letter has been issued, international students in possession of an acceptance letter are required to present their original documents, including Passport, to the university upon arrival.
